I understand and agree to the following conditions of participation in Ngā Whetū Haumaru:

  1. That all minors (under 16) must be accompanied by a parent/legal guardian.

  2. This is an alcohol, drug and smoke-free event.

  3. To follow all directions from officials running this event.

  4. In the event of bad weather, it is my personal choice if I attend the event or not.

  5. I am fully capable of participating in the event without causing harm to myself or others.

  6. I am voluntarily participating with knowledge of the risks associated with it. I therefore assume and accept full responsibility for all inherent and other risks (both known and unknown) of the Event, and for any injury, damage, death or other loss I or others may suffer. This includes injury, damage, death or loss arising from the passive or active negligence or other misconduct of myself or any other person.

  7. To respect the rights, dignity and worth of every individual involved with the Event including participants, volunteers and spectators. I will at all times act responsibly and maintain high standards in respect to my language and actions recognising that this is a family event.

  8. That neither the organiser, its trustees and staff, nor other parties associated with the event shall have any responsibility for any liability from my intended or actual participation in the event or its related activities. This includes liability arising from negligence.

  9. I am fully responsible for the security of my personal possessions at the event. I agree that the organiser, its trustees and staff, nor the other parties associated with the event will not be liable for the replacement of any personal possessions lost or stolen or damaged during the course of the event.

  10. I authorise my image to be used in further promotion of this event and future events. 

  11. If I am signing as the participant’s legal guardian, I have the legal authority to act for the participant and on their behalf.

    By registering for Ngā Whetū Haumaru , you agree to abide by the above conditions of participation on behalf of all participants named on this form.
